At PACE, we pride ourselves on happy staff and happy service users. We want our employees to enjoy what they do, which is why we are looking to recruit great people to make our day service a great place to be for the people that we support and a great place to work for our employees.
Many of our activities are set in in the local community, run by local businesses. Our goal is to empower our service users to enrich their own lives with our support. We don’t hide away from the local community, we embrace it as the best way to educate both our service users and the public. Our employees believe in this approach as we can see the positive effect it has on our service users and their families/care services.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude, with the ability to adapt to the needs of the people we support. We expect our staff to be understanding of individual differences, not only of the people that we support but of work colleagues and volunteers that you may work alongside.
We require all of our support workers to pass relevant DBS checks prior to their first day with us. All staff must have a full, clean driver’s licence and their own vehicle. This must be registered, taxed, insured for business use and hold a valid MOT certificate as we provide transport for all of our service users both to/from our service as well as to various activities throughout the week.
We believe that working together promotes happy support workers, happy service users and happy management. We encourage our staff to voice their opinions, ideas and concerns and do our best to work with these to better our business.
We believe that happy staff promote a healthy environment for our service users. If you have the right values, work ethic and commitment, we will support you to develop your existing strengths and gain new abilities. At PACE we feel that everyone has strengths which they can bring into the business to make things better. We work with these strengths, distributing responsibilities accordingly. We also work with our staff where they are not so strong, to help them get the best from themselves. If this sounds like the right environment for you, take a look at our vacancies below.
For support worker roles, qualification and experience is not necessary, just the right values and a desire to make a difference to people’s lives. We provide a full induction and on-the-job training programme and our service users will welcome you with open arms and a full heart.
